R.I.P. A SMALL-PRESS LEGEND...
Stephen Robert Prestwood passed away on Sunday 22nd May 2016 (only weeks before his 46th birthday) after a short illness. He was a king in the world of self-published, photo-copies stripzines of the nineties and a wonderful artist to boot. You may remember him from his long running 'zine 'Dark Zone' which he created with Jason Falkiner. I loved his art and worked with him a few times... Most notably on my comic 'Armageddon Patrol' where he drew the first issue of the 'Cherries' mini-series. Just weeks before he left us he had agreed to do a short story for an up-coming issue of my 'Reverend Cross' comic. He seemed so enthused for the project, which we will now never see. Here's to Stephen... He was one of a kind.
